If you like Patchouli essential oil, you should try this soap. I added a blend of lavender with the patchouli to make this a very well liked bar of soap for everyday use. The scent is strong and is just what you'd expect of these two wonderful scented oils.
This bar has quality ingredients and are awesome for your skin. The additives like organic cacao for the chocolate and activated charcoal for detoxifying. These additives or ingredients are put into the soap after the soap is made before I put it into the molds.
This hot process soap making allows for these ingredients to be available to your skin to absorb without going through the saponification process of the oils changing to soap!
Our skin absorbs as much as 70% of what touches our skin. So we need to be aware of the ingredients of what we put on our skin. This bar of soap is very moisturizing to normal to dry skin.
Ingredients: Olive Oil, Lard, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Grape-seed Oil, Shea Butter, Organic Cacao Powder, Activated Charcoal, Kaolin Clay, Lavender Essential Oil and Patchouli Essential Oil.
OLIVE OIL Many natural soap bars contain Olive Oil as a base ingredient due to its deeply moisturizing and nourishing properties. Olive Oil soap can help to relieve dry skin and soften wrinkles. LARD Lard - made from rendered pig fat. Lard is actually a good moisturizer for the skin. It provides good lather and cleansing properties.
COCONUT OIL Coconut oil soap is an excellent moisturizer for both the skin and the hair. The properties of the coconut oil also help remove dead skin cells and dirt away from the body. The oils also help prevent or reduce acne. It also helps firm up your skin helps you look younger as the soap is rich in antioxidants.
CASTOR OIL It also acts as a humectant on the skin, just like glycerin.. It also helps create lots of bubbles.
GRAPE-SEED OIL This skin-loving pale yellow oil adds moisturizing properties and creates a stable lather. It also has antioxidants that help nurture your skin.
SHEA BUTTER The concentration of natural vitamins and fatty acids in Shea butter makes it incredibly nourishing and moisturizing for skin. A 2010 study found that due to its cinnamic acid and other natural properties, Shea butter was anti-inflammatory.
Cacao Powder Studies show applying raw cacao in a bar of soap offers a lot of the same benefits as eating it. The high levels of antioxidants protect and repair the skin from damage and premature aging. And as a potent anti-inflammatory, it soothes redness and blemishes, improving the skin's complexion.
Activated Charcoal Activated Charcoal is an excellent exfoliant, with the ability to remove dead skin cells along with the extraction of dirt and grime, charcoal soap also treats psoriasis and eczema. It is effective for the treatment of dry, cracked skin.
White Kaolin Clay One of my favorite reasons to use Kaolin clay in soap is that it helps to withdraw any toxins and impurities in the skin. Not only that, but it also helps the skin retain moisture, which is always a great feature in a soap.
Lavender essential oil is made from the aromatic lavender herb. The fresh, floral scent of lavender is awesome!
Patchouli essential oil pairs extremely well with the Lavender essential oil to make a balanced scent that is sure to delight!
